Secret 3 : Vaccines

we all know the reasons why we use vaccines for our pets , at least in concept: to protect against diseases that could seriously harm or threaten their lives.
  • vaccinate for only what is absolutely necessary for your pet:
  A limited vaccine program is highly recommended and is especially important if your companion belongs to any of the breeds known to be more susceptible to cancer and chronic disease.
vaccines regime for life stages  :
puppies and kitten  only need a serious of 2 vaccine booster , one at 8 week then repeated at 12 week (this will prevent from infectious disease) .
the traditional 3rd booster in puppies is not necessary. if possible, delay giving the rabies vaccine until 6 month.

PUPPY vaccine regime :
  • 8week : parvo virus and distemper.
  • 12 week: parvo virus and distemper.
         N.B:( only give Bordetella if going to a kennel or baby class)
  • 6 month : give rabies vaccine.

KITTEN vaccine regime:
kitten should vaccinated for the respiratory viruses and panleukopenia
  • 8week: FVRCP (feline virus rhinotracheitis , calici virus, panleukopenia)
  • 12 week: FVRCP.
  • 6 month: rabies vaccine.
N.B: feline leukemia vaccine should be give to high risk cats those in multi-cat households OR outdoor cats surrounded by large cats population.

ADULT DOGS:
  • 1year: parvo virus & distemper.
  • 1 1/2 year : rabies virus.
 NO FURTHER VACCINE FOR THREE YEARS.
  • 4 years: parvo v.& distemper v.
  • 4 1/2 year: rabies v.
N.B: rabies v. may be repeated every 3 years according to your local state.
ADULT CATS:  
  • 1 year: FVRCP
  • 1 1/2 year: Rabies.
 NO FURTHER VACCINES FOR 3 YEARS.
  • 4 years: FVRCP.
  • 4 1/2 year: Rabies vaccine.

   after that vaccines your cat will be immunized against respiratory viruses and panleukemia.
